Tristen and Trey met at the Baptist Student Ministry while attending Grayson Community college. It was love at first sight—after a year. They got to know each other better hanging out with group of friends and attending many festivals and concerts together. During a trip to hangout music festival in 2017, Trey finally asked Tristen to go on a date. It was really cute. They continued to date through college and got engaged in May of 2019.

In May of 2019, Tristen and Trey took a trip to Gulf Shores, AL and they went to the beach where Trey first asked Tristen to go on a date. As the sun went down Trey decided to awkwardly get down on one knee and ask Tristen to be his wife. Astonishingly enough, she said yes. They both said “woohoo” then they left and got some really good seafood.
