They were both sent to work as missionary apprentices through the AIM ministry to the same city in back-to-back teams. She was a year ahead of him in the program and they had two months of overlap serving in Arlington, TX. After completing her field time, she decided to stick around and attend the local college and began a degree in nursing. When he first arrived, work was the only thing on his mind, and a relationship was the furthest from hers. But love finds a way, and eventually they began to take notice of one another. Encouraged by a mutual friend, they spent more time intentionally getting to know the other. In June 2021, impressed by her faith and love for God, he gathered enough courage to ask her out. And the rest, as they say, is history.
