These two crazy kids from Battle Creek are finally getting married. We grew up 7 minutes away from each other and finally met when Tristen went to Kellogg Community College for volleyball and Kameron was there for baseball. We met through mutual friends during a volleyball vs baseball team volleyball scrimmage. The next night we were all at the same mutual friends house and we were going to play in a ping pong tournament, Kameron had figured out a way to play against me. Since Kameron is a year older than me he was done with his two years at Kellogg and had to find a new place of study, he choose Aquinas in Grand Rapids. Although its only an hour and twenty minutes away we began a "long distance relationship" (much different than a 7 minute drive between us). Kameron played baseball those two years at Aquinas, where he met some guys who've grown into his best friends. Since then Kameron graduated from Aquinas and Baker College where he is Physical Therapist Assistant at Neil King Physical Therapy. Tristen graduated from Baker in December 2017 and is a Registered Respiratory Therapist. I now work at Beaumont in Farmington Hills. Now, we live in Southfield with our "fur baby", also known as, Mya Rae who is our sunshine. Anyone who knows us knows that Mya means everything to us and she was with us during the engagement, she'll be with us for the wedding ceremony. Beauty and the beast means a lot to us, the movie shows that true love isn't found on the outside but rather on the inside. When Kameron and I met, Kameron showed a tough exterior but getting him to talk I saw his soft inside. I was able to bring out the true side of Kameron which he is just a big teddy bear. We are so excited to start this new chapter in our life and start our happily ever after! Love, Tristen and Kameron
Kameron proposed on a sunny day in Leila Arboretum in front of our families including Mya on May 14th, 2018. Kameron had told me we were going to take Mya for a nice walk, walking toward the gazebo in Leila Arboretum there were dates that are important to us lining the sidewalk. What everyone doesn't know is that I had no idea what was going on because there was another dog walking toward us and I was trying to get Mya out of the way. At the end by the gazebo he got my attention and I turned around to my cousin Ty, who came running out of the bushes with a beauty and the beast box which contained the ring. Then all of our family members followed and came out of the bushes with cameras facing us. In true fashion I said nothing, but Kameron took it as YES! Behind the scenes of the proposal - 1. There were random people laying in the bushes and were freaked out when all of our family members were hiding. 2. Kameron had conspired with my parents but my mom was running late from work so he went and sat in the bathroom on the floor to take up more time, telling me he needed time to get ready. 3. We got caught by a train and in true fashion I was annoyed with Kameron for taking forever. 4. Ty wasn't allowed to carry the glass dome until he was running out to Kameron and I.
