In 2020, Tristen was juggling college classes in Panama City while working at Target, completely unaware that the love of her life was about to walk into her life. Meanwhile in Gainesville, Steven was finishing up his junior year of college... until March arrived and Covid sent him back home to Lynn Haven to complete his semester virtually. When his internship was canceled due to covid, he started searching for a summer job. He almost accepted a position at the bowling alley, but fate stepped in at the very last minute with an interview at Target. He said yes, also not knowing his life was about to change. During his first few days, Steven was asked to head over to guest services to begin training with Tristen. From that moment on they spent countless shifts together that summer chatting, laughing, and slowly realizing that something special was unfolding between them. Steven eventually found Tristen on Facebook and sent the message that started it all: an invitation to their very first date. They spent a day at the beach and ended the date with Chick-fil-A. From there came bowling nights, beach picnics, movie dates, lego building, and the kind of connection that made it impossible to imagine life without each other. And just like that... they became inseparable.
