Tristan and Sidney met in 2023 at Whiskey River West Bar. Tristan was looking to dance with someone, and Sidney was out with a group of friends. The moment she saw Tristan, she knew she had to dance with him, so Sidney made sure he noticed her and asked her to dance. They danced one song, then two more. Later in the night, he came back and asked Sidney to dance again, and ended up dancing until the place was about to close. Tristan asked for Sidney's number, and she... gave it to him, thinking "I'll never see him again" — I assumed he was just visiting for business, she says. Little did she know that he actually lived in Katy and that Tristan felt the same connection she did. The next day (or so), Tristan texted Sidney and invited her on what would be their first date... and from that moment on, they have been inseparable

It all started when we went to the moon - at least, that is what Tristan felt after hiking 1.5 miles uphill!- together in our first big solo trip while visiting different National Parks in Utah-Arizona. That morning, the chef at the hotel they stayed at recommended that if they were going to visit Arches National Park, they HAD to go to Delicate Arch. After 3 days of hiking to different National Parks, Sidney was just enjoying the experience of seeing SO MANY RED ROCKS, but Tristan had been planning all along for the big moment. Once they reached the arch, Sidney told Tristan to go under the arch to take some pictures of him, and then asked someone to take pictures of them. As they finished posing for the pictures, Sidney turned around to get her phone, but Tristan had different plans. He called her, and when she turned around, saw Tristan opening a little box, getting on one knee, and saying many sweet things -that neither can remember- other than the most awaited question, " Will you marry me?"
