Tristan and I first met when I joined his family on a family vacation. I had been friends and roommates with his brother and his brother's girlfriend for about a year before I got to know Tristan. I liked him the moment I met him. He was funny, confident, and, occasionally, a little sweet. However, we didn't really talk for another year until Tristan came from Eugene to visit his brother again. Our first date was a walk out in the Three Sisters Wilderness with my dog. We talked and laughed and had an amazing time. Tristan trusted me with directions, and was patient even when I got lost a few times! On July 4, 2017 Tristan asked me to be his girlfriend. We had a long distance relationship for about a year before I moved to Eugene, and in summer 2019, we were able to move back to Bend. In September 2019, we took a trip to Cannon Beach with all of my closest friends. We took a a walk down the beach where Tristan proposed. I was over the moon and completely surprised! With all my most favorite people there to witness, I could not imagine a more perfect proposal. Now after 2 1/2 years together, I cannot wait for forever! -Shannon
