We officially met the summer after Micaela graduated college, however we had mutual friends for years and Tj made it official on June 24th. After a summer full of lake days, late nights & adventures with friends, Tj went back to college at Briar Cliff University for his senior year, and Micaela started her first year teaching. Micaela spent the weekend traveling to see him- enjoying hunts, late nights in downtown Sioux City, and (many) baseball games. In spring of 2020, Tj's final season of baseball got cut short due to Covid. He moved back home, and Micaela quarantined with him and his parents in Valley, NE- nothing brings you together like finishing your senior year/first year teaching in the basement of your parents basement, not being able to leave the house- amiright? In the summer of 2020, we got our first apartment in Omaha and got our dog, Presley and kitty, June. We traveled all over the southwest, as well as road tripped to Carolina Beach so we both could see the ocean for the first time. Micaela continued teaching, Tj was working construction, and while Micaela finished her Masters, Tj hunted... a lot. In October of 2021 we bought a house! We currently live in Valley, Nebraska. Micaela is doing photography and teaching third grade, Tj is working for SN construction, finding time to play baseball whenever he can- and we are enjoying every second of making our house a home and planning our big day!

After a long day at Vala's Pumpkin Patch and visiting with friends, Micaela returned home from dinner to join Tj and friends in the backyard for a bonfire. To her surprise, their was a rose petal covered and illuminated path leading to an arch, where Tj was waiting ready to ask her to spend forever with him. Micaela said yes, eventually...She got a little distracted by the ring and her dog waiting to celebrate with her. Our family came out of hiding, we celebrated, and the planning began! P.S.
