If floating a river sounds like your idea of a good time, you and Kaitlyn would get along. The Guadalupe and Comal Rivers are the best place to rent a tube and spend the day floating through downtown New Baunfels. Its our go-to recommendation for people coming into town in the summer!
(It's pronounced Green btw) This was the spot for all of my daddy-daughter dates in high school and also where Tristan and I went for our anniversary! Gruene is a historic German town with an iconic dance hall/concert venue. It has food, shopping, live music and some really neat Texas history!
The River Walk is a classic for a reason. It’s a beautiful and really fun place to walk, eat, and people-watch, and has plenty of restaurants and bars lining the water. The Alamo is right next to it too! We went for my (Kaitlyn's) birthday this past year and ate at Paesano's if you're looking for a yummy recommendation.
The Pearl is one of our favorite areas in the city. It’s full of great restaurants, coffee shops, and boutiques, all in a beautifully restored historic area. Perfect for brunch, dinner, or wandering around pretending you’re a local.
