Our story starts long before we ever officially met, years ago during one Christmas season. Hannah was looking at the Christmas cards taped on the wall and a particular family caught her eye. "Mom, who ARE these people? I've never met them." Her mom said that she met their mom at a dinner one night, and they had been exchanging Christmas cards ever since. You guessed it - that family was the Hanoian family. And if Tristan & Hannah weren't going to meet through their moms, God definitely had other ways. Hannah's lifelong friend from Kindergarten, Maddie Daniels, went to Orange Lutheran High School, while Hannah went elsewhere. There, she became friends with Tristan Hanoian, all while still maintaining a friendship with Hannah. Some swear (Tristan) that they met briefly at Fashion Island while Maddie and Hannah were on one of their infamous shopping sprees. This would have been a decade ago. So many ways they could have really met, but in April of 2024 is when things really started to happen! Maddie texted Hannah, "Do you remember Tristan Hanoian?" and while she couldn't say she did know him, she said to tell him she said hi. From there, she requested to follow him on Instagram, and before you knew it, they were messaging on Instagram. Well, Hannah was not looking to date, she was weeks away from moving out of state by herself to Idaho to start a completely new life. One day, Tristan messaged her "So I heard you're moving..." and "I'd love to catch up before you leave if you have time!" "Catch up?" Hannah thought, "had we even met?" She agreed to meet up sometime. Hannah got to the coffee shop early, brought a book to look like she was busy when Tristan arrived. Moved the metal chairs around so that when she stood up to hug him she wouldn't trip and fall. Tristan sat down at the table, and they talked for two hours until the coffee shop kicked them out. The night continued as they talked outside the car and finally Hannah said "what are you doing after this? Are you ok to keep talking?" "Sure!" Two more hours of talking later, they said goodnight. Hannah was set on moving and not dating, but she felt that Tristan was easy to talk to and so kind. A couple of days later, they hung out again, but this time, it was like Hannah was seeing him for the first time. Everyone at the coffee shop had to have known this girl had a major crush on him. Weeks went by, and soon enough it was two days before Hannah was moving. Tristan handed her a five page letter and flowers, and Hannah did indeed, cry in the In n out Parking lot. While they originally planned to "check in once a week" to avoid getting attached, Hannah called him four times on the drive up alone. Weeks later, Tristan flew to Idaho to visit Hannah. They started dating and the rest is history! The past year and a half has been the best of both of their lives. Tristan + Hannah forever!
