Daniel and Tristan first met in September of 2018 at their church's youth event through mutual friends. His first impression was that she was very funny and sweet. Her first impression of him was that he had very pretty eyes, which she told him when she met him, not thinking anything of it. Low and behold, that's what got them talking and eventually in a relationship. Fast forward to their first date where they went to a local coffee shop in Arlington, TN and "studied". In reality they sat and talked for a couple hours, not getting a single thing done. At the end of the date, they felt sparks and knew that this could be something special. When did we know they were the one? "The first time I could picture marrying Daniel was actually during the pandemic. My father worked in the hospital, so every day he'd be exposed. Our family decided that it was best we stayed in the house to avoid potentially exposing others. Even though I was not allowed out of my house, Daniel made a point to call or FaceTime me every day to make sure we could still talk to each other. He even went out of his way to come to my house and we'd social distance outside just so we could spend time together. He did what he could to make me happy and continues to each day, and in that moment I knew he was the one." -Tristan "I remember meeting Tristan through a band we were in in high school. After getting to know each other, we used to spend afternoons at the coffee shop and do homework together. During this time, we found out we had the same humor and would keep each other from our homework by making each other laugh. I knew Tristan was the one because of how kind and funny she is. There’s never a time were she can’t make me smile. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life with anyone else." -Daniel The proposal happened on their 4 year anniversary at Shelby Farms. When he proposed to her, they were flooded with excitement and hope about their future to come. The idea of spending forever with each other is truly one they are grateful for, and they cannot wait to officially seal the deal.
