Why such a short engagement?

Answer

While Trish and I originally planned on having a larger wedding in the Northeast, we had to dramatically move up our wedding plans. Sadly, a serious family health emergency has occurred for a close family member. After learning of this news and discussing it with Trish, we decided to dramatically move up our wedding schedule. By having our wedding on July 6th, we can ensure that this family member will be present for one of the most important and treasured moments in our lives. While we are sorry that many of you will not be able to attend, know that this is the right decision for us under the circumstances. We are making the best of the situation and we can't wait to be married. I know our family members are looking forward to our nuptials. While we cannot go into the specifics of the health issue at hand, know that we will take any and all well wishes and prayers.

Will you be doing anything in PA to celebrate?

Answer

Yes, of course but in the future. We haven't figured out any details of that yet. We are thinking of possibly doing a vow renewal close to our first anniversary next year in July 2020. We will keep you posted on any developments.
