The Fernbank Museum is a natural history museum for dinosaur, science, and nature lovers! It is perfect for families and adults who just want to learn or feel like a kid again. The museum features great photo ops, exhibits indoors and outdoors, and a Giant Screen theater.
The High Museum of Art is in the Midtown Arts District and is home to beautiful works and many traveling exhibits. The architecture and landscape are works of art too! The High Museum is across the street from the Museum of Design Atlanta.

The Jubilee is a lovely area of Smyrna that has restaurants and shops like Talbots, Banana Republic, Mellow Mushroom, Cold Stone Creamery, and local favorites. The Jubilee is cute and quaint and a good area with lots of places to visit.
Marietta Square is a wonderful place to visit to get an old-town feel away from the city. The center of the square is Glover Park with a beautiful fountain. The square is filled with unique shops, restaurants of all varieties, and the amazing Australian Bakery.
The Museum is a gorgeous tribute to historic southern design and unique exhibits. Founded in 1990, the Museum's classical revival building was built in 1910 as the Marietta Post Office. In 1963 it became the main building of the Cobb County Public Library System. The beautiful building was used for courtroom scenes in the movie "Selma."
The Silver Comet Trail is the place to go if you are itching to get out in nature or just get some supersize. *Please keep an eye on the weather. We hiked the Tallulah Gorge during a wedding weekend in 90 degree weather and Trish got heat stroke! :) The Silver Comet is a paved pedestrian rail-trail located 13 miles northwest of Atlanta, Georgia. It is 61.5 miles long, free of charge, and travels through Cobb, Paulding, and Polk counties. This quiet, non-motorized trail is for walkers, hikers, bicyclists, rollerbladers, horses, dog walkers, and is mostly wheelchair accessible.
