Jesse and Patrixia first met up at El Matador Beach. After three months of only talking and not being able to meet due to very strict Covid restrictions, they finally decided to see each other; with a little encouragement from Jesse’s end. Their conversation lasted from late afternoon to the early morning, as they shared their first meal of AYCE Korean BBQ. On this day, their love was planted.

Jesse and Patrixia travelled together throughout their relationship. During their first getaway in La Jolla, their relationship was tested when they signed up to go on a tandem kayaking tour of the La Jolla caves. They had a marvelous time, despite the miscommunications, because Patrixia wanted to lead when Jesse was better at it. They went on road trips together that Patrixia meticulously planned detailed and full itenararies for, and Jesse just went with the flow. They got to spend extensive, uninterrupted time together as they travel across statelines as far as Texas. Patrixia wanted to share her love for exploring new places, especially nature and National Parks. Patrixia and Jesse both had to brave the 405 traffic (from opposite directions) to get to work. And their work schedule didn't always match and made it difficult for them to spend time together. So after about a year and a half of dating, Jesse and Patrixia decided to move in together. As they got to know each other while living together, challenges were introduced in their relationship. And their love continued to grow as they faced these challenges together. After a little over two and half years of dating, Jesse took Patrixia back to where their story started and proposed in El Matador beach.
