We're Getting Married!!!

They met in the most atypical of times, at the height of the COVID 19 pandemic at Sangre Grande Hospital. She was the shy and pleasant senior, he, the funny and eager junior. Silly jokes and casual exchanges during hectic shifts, gave way to warm smiles and blossoming friendship. Trishana admired Oseye's unconventional approach to stressful situations, while he was drawn to her kindness, sense of humor and unshakeable determination. Laughter was the basis of their bond, and warm chuckles gave way to deep conversations as their relationship grew and friendship deepened. As their personal lives were intertwined, so too was their personal connection. Ever evolving from corridor colleagues to shared friendship to something deeper. But, all this may not have happened if it wasn't for a chance they both took. He took the chance to invite her to a friend gathering on spur of the moment, and she took the chance to actually attend on spur of the moment. From then on, it clicked, the connection which had been growing, finally snapped into place. They spent weekends and sleepless nights talking about everything and nothing until neither could see the world without the other. This love story could have been cut short due to the thing that brought them together: COVID and personal illness. But, after coming out the other side, their bonds were tested by the fires of near fatality and forged anew. Now, nearly four years later, their story turned to a new chapter, and while in Barbados together, with a heart full of love, and frustration in his mind, Oseye got down on one knee with ring in hand, as the woman he loved so much, had spent the day actively trying to not make it to his surprise engagement proposal. Tears welled in Trishana's eyes at the realization of what was happening and could not wait until Oseye stumbled through the proposal to say... a thousand times yes. Their journey - From corridor colleagues navigating the chaos of the hospital together to kindred souls who had found a home with each other - had led to this beautiful moment.
