December 2019, Maulik and Trishala met on a South Asian dating app called Dil Mil. Trishala was living in San Diego and Maulik had just moved back home to Chino after completing his last semester of medical school. They had their first date in San Diego- Maulik picked Trishala up at her house with a bouquet of flowers in hand and the rest was history! They’ve been inseparable ever since.

August 16, 2022, Maulik proposed to Trishala in front of the Medici Fountain in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris. Trishala had received a few hints about the proposal from friends, family, and Maulik himself, so she knew it was coming! But, what she didn’t know, was how beautiful of a day it would be with many other surprises in store. Maulik hired a French photographer, and surprised Trishala with an engagement photoshoot in the Luxembourg Gardens. Maulik also surprised Trishala with a romantic dinner on board a luxury-bus restaurant, where they enjoyed food and wine while seeing some of the most beautiful monuments in Paris. Je t’aime!
