In January of 2019, we met in Washington D.C. during our last semester of college and became fast friends, bonding over our shared love of California and shared dislike of Philadelphia. We both wanted to begin our careers in D.C. and moved in together as roommates. After one year as friends, we began dating in March of 2020 and have been inseparable ever since. Our love grew, as did our family, and we adopted our pup, Wilma on April 4, 2021 and our second pup, RJ, on September 30, 2023. As homes and careers have changed over the years, our love for each other, rooted in deep friendship and respect, has been a constant for us both and we knew we wanted to be with each other foreva eva.
On November 12, 2022, Ryan took Trisha to dinner at Commissary, the first place they shared dinner together in March of 2019. He reassured a very suspicious Trisha that there was no significance to his choice of restaurant. Feeling calm, Trisha enjoyed the rest of the date, including ice cream and a drive by their first apartment in Capitol Hill. After pulling over the car at Stanton Park, Ryan invited Trisha to take a walk through the park and reminisced on the story of their love. At the bench where the couple took their first family photo with Wilma, Ryan had friends set up a romantic scene of candles and rose petals. There, Ryan got down on one knee and asked Trisha to marry him, and through her tears of joy, she accepted. Since then, they have celebrated with friends and family on the East and West Coast and are excited to start the next chapter of their lives together and tie the knot!
