Trisha and Akhilesh technically met in college back when they were both on different Bollywood dance teams, but little did they know what the future had in store for them. Their own Bollywood story had just begun! A few years later, Akhilesh moved to Seattle, where Trisha was already living. Just a week in, a mutual friend invited him to a party and as fate would have it, Trisha was there. But Akhilesh was too nervous to say hello that night. It wasn’t until the next time they ran into each other, at a Halloween party, that things finally began to unfold. Trisha and Akhilesh exchanged numbers that night, a decision that would change their lives in the best way. They hung out for three days in a row before Trisha left for a Europe trip, but not before squeezing in their very first date, a cooking night! From there, it just clicked. They kept finding more reasons to hang out, and by New Year’s Eve, they were ringing in 2023 side by side. A month later, Akhilesh kept the cooking theme going and made a full three-course Thai dinner to officially ask Trisha to be his girlfriend. He’s romantic and a great cook! Over time, and a lot of traveling, game nights, and special moments with loved ones, they realized this was something real. The forever kind of real. Eventually, Akhilesh asked Trisha’s parents for their blessing and proposed at the dreamy Muir Beach Overlook just north of San Francisco. After that, they headed to India to celebrate with the whole extended family and have an official engagement ceremony. They've since partied in Houston and the Bay Area, and are now ready for the biggest celebration yet - in beautiful Udaipur!
