We're getting married!

Dave had been attending IUP for four years and I had been there for three, but our paths had never crossed. Our friends all new each other and were amazed to find out that we had never been introduced. God’s timing is perfect and his timing for us was spot on! My first impression of Dave is the reason why I knew straight away he was the one. One night a group of us went out to a local college bar called Wolfe’s. When it was time to leave, we all tried to pile into an Uber but were quickly told by the driver that we had one too many. I volunteered to stay behind and get another Uber. Dave, who I really did not know at all at the time, volunteered to stay behind with me. What a gentleman! This led to our first unofficial “date”. Instead of calling an Uber right away to go home, we went in for a drink. We hit it off right away and had no issue making great conversation. A few weeks later, I noticed Dave was having a bad night. I brought him aside to make small talk and put him in a better mood - this led to our first kiss! After this night, we started hanging together more and more. We had a hard time spending much time apart honestly. All we wanted was to be with each other which led to our song being “Here with Me” by Marshmello. We had so much fun – laughing, dancing, and just having so much to talk about. Fast forward to the end of the school year when it was time to pack up and go home for the summer. Dave and I were literally the last two people left on campus because we weren't ready to go our separate ways. Finally, we discussed our options and decided to go home with each other. On May 4th, 2019, we made things official but not the traditional way where one asks to be their boyfriend/girlfriend but instead with matching tattoos – what’s more official than that! People thought we were crazy but only we knew in our hearts that it would be fine because well… we’re soulmates. May 29th, 2019, Dave asked me to be his girlfriend. February 6th, 2022, he proposed, and the rest is history!
