It was unclear when the idea of the triple wedding officially began to take flight - it all seemed to happen so fast! Two months after Beth got engaged, Jake proposed to Rachel - and with serious conversations about marriage underway between Sarah and Kenan, the three sisters decided to have a meeting. There were questions and uncertainties about how to pull off such a unique event. After over an hour of discussion and prayer - the three were encouraged and excited to gain approval for the triple wedding from their fiances (soon to be fiance for Sarah). The triple wedding was on the "down low" for several months - as Kenan had yet to pop the question (no pressure!). The ring finally arrived in early December, and Sarah and Kenan announced their engagement. Before the crazy triple wedding planning started, Beth asked her soon to be sister-in-love, Austin's sister Autumn, to be her bridesmaid by presenting her with a card and robe! They filled Autumn in on the secret of the triple wedding before anyone else. The three sisters then decided they wanted their girl cousins to be the other bridesmaids. With Christmas just around the corner, they decided to keep the secret for a few more weeks and not only announce the triple wedding at the Christmas celebration, but also ask 5 of their girl cousins to be bridesmaids and one to be the flower girl! What a riot! The balloon reveal and bridesmaid proposal was a hit, and the secret was finally out! Since then, much planning and preparation has taken place for the BIG day and we cannot wait! See you at #triplewedding2018 Addendum: This is where it all began! On September 17, 2017 at 12:17pm, the father of the brides sent an email to his daughters with the subject line "Just Sayin". Attached was a link to a video about three sisters who got married on the same day...
Sarah and Kenan met at a game night through Elmbrook Church. Several months passed as they built a friendship through young adult events, thrilling games of nertz, and ultimate frisbee. After Kenan crashed a girls bible study outing to a fund raiser (...okay he was invited), he asked Sarah out to coffee. Their first coffee date was scheduled for an early 7am Starbucks run before church on March 19. His puns and smooth pick up lines caught her attention - but it was his character and love for Jesus that won her heart. And the rest is history!
Jake and Rachel combined equals Jachel.
Austin and Beth are high school sweethearts and have been together for over 3 years. They met in their high school band class where Beth played flute and Austin played trumpet. They were both extremely shy, but Austin gained the courage to ask Beth out on a date to see a movie where he was a complete gentleman, and Beth fell for him immediately. Austin knew right away that he was going to marry Beth, his first girlfriend, and he was right! When Beth went off to college, they started the long-distance portion of their relationship which lasted for 2 years. Although it was very difficult to be apart, their relationship grew and became stronger than they could have hoped for during that time. Austin proposed to Beth at the Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado while on vacation with family. The scenery was incredible, and it is a moment they will never forget! They cannot wait to start their married life together as best friends, with God at the center of their relationship. For better or for worse!
