Our FAVORITE brunch spot in all of philly. Located in the cozy neighborhood of Northern Liberties, this BYOB cafe will for sure satisfy the morning after hunger. Jesse's favorite is steak frites, and Jess's is the huevos rancheros.
Located right next to Cafe La Maude, this brunch spot comes in at a very close second place for us. Pancakes are to die for. Jesse's favorite is the breakfast bomb (without cheese, of course), and Jess likes anything here that invovles pancakes.
Craving some authentic Dim Sum? This is THE SPOT to go to in Philly. Be prepared to be overwhelmed with all the selections rolling around in the steam carts. Be sure to ask for their HK style XLBs that are only made on demand! As this place is located in Philly's chinatown, be sure to walk around and get some boba afterwards.
The boba here is one of our favorites, but that's not the true reason we're recommending it. TAIWANESE POPCORN CHICKEN is why you should come here. 'nough said.
Our favorite coffee roaster in the city. Grab a cup and hang out in the cafe, or go around the block and play with the dogs at the schuylkill river dog park!
Located right on the parkway, the Franklin Institute is a pretty cool place to nerd out about anything science! Check their website below to see what exhibits are happening!
Great spot for both a grab and go sandwich, or sit and chill brunch. Plus, they sell stumptown coffee whole bean bags!
Take a picture with the Rocky statue.
Forget Pat's, forget Gino's. You want a good philly cheesesteak? Check out cleavers. You can also be weird like jesse and get it without cheese and still enjoy it. Also, their sweet potato fries are amazing.
Penn's landing is a stretch of parks, piers, and eateries. We recommend starting from Race or Cherry street piers and make your way up and down the waterfront.
Dating back to colonial America in 1703, this national historic landmark is the oldest residential block in America! Just blocks away from independence mall!
As the birth place of America, this is where both the declaration of independence and the constitution were signed! Located in the Old City district, this area is a must see for the history buffs! Be sure to also check out the liberty bell and the constitution center!
Located between S 21st and S Broad Streets on both Walnut and Chestnut, this district is full of boutique shops. Remember, we don't have sales tax on clothes in PA! Think...Walnut St in Shadyside...but bigger. Be sure to take a stroll through Rittenhouse Square and check out the many coffee shops around.
Some really good modern american cuisine. The Chicken & Duck Liver Parfait is amazingly good.
Located on UPenn's campus, this archeology and anthropology museum houses over 1.3 million artifacts. It features one of the most comprehensive collections of middle and near-eastern art in the world.
Almost as good as Dave and Andy's in Pittsburgh, this ice cream shop is ridiculously good. Jesse's favorite flavor is the coffee ice cream (made with Intelligensia coffee!!) on a waffle cone. Jess's favorite is birthday cake on a sugar cone. If you're in the fishtown area, they also have a shop there on frankford ave!
