They refused to even make eye contact. Day after day. Month after month, as they passed in the hall. Although Madison was, the outgoing, loquacious, and talkative one; Trinity, the shy, quiet, reserved one, decided to make the first move. Trinity texted Madison and said simply, “Hi, I’ve noticed you in the hall, why haven't you said Hi?????” Madison, totally stunned and shaken, replied “Are you sure you have the right person?” Days—weeks passed. They greeted each other in the hallway at junior high. They finally agreed to have a “date” and go see the movie “Crazy, Stupid Love.” They both required a parent to drive them to Hometown Cinema in Lockhart, since neither of them was old enough to drive. Both sat bolt upright in their chairs, not daring to speak or make eye contact. About 45 minutes into the movie, Trinity reached across the armrest and took Madison’s hand.
