Some love stories start with a spark. Ours started with soccer cleats and early mornings. We met in 2017 at Southern Oregon University, arriving to campus a little early for freshman pre-season. From the beginning, there was something easy about being around each other and found a natural connection. We were friends through it all: the classes, the games, the chaos of college life. And then, something shifted... and we finally realized what had been there all along. It wasn’t until just before graduation that we truly saw a friendship years in the making turning into something more. After college, we faced months of long distance (and a lot of FaceTime). Then came a leap of faith: moving to Alaska together, where our shared life really began. A couple of years later, we boarded a tiny plane, flew over Denali, and landed on a glacier. There, surrounded by snow and sky, he proposed... and it felt like the most perfect beginning to the rest of our adventurous life. Today, our life is full of the things we love: soccer games, cozy nights with our cats, margaritas after long weeks, spontaneous games of pickleball, and dreaming about the places we’ll travel together. We’ve grown from excited college freshman to best friends, and partners to soon-to-be husband and wife. And we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of our love story with all of you in the place where we found it.
