THIS IS NOT ONLY A VENUE RULE- IT IS A RULE MADE BY GAVIN AND TRINITY THAT THEY WILL STRONGLY STAND BY. IF ANYONE IS SEEN USING OR CONSUMING A DRUG OF ANY KIND THEY WILL BE ESCORTED OUT BY SECURITY. IF ANYONE APPEARS TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF A DRUG THEY WILL BE ESCORTED OUT BY SECURITY. THIS APPLIES TO EVERYONE. FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND PLUS ONES. NO ONE IS SUBJECT TO HAVE ANY EXCEPTION TO THIS. IF YOU ARE ESCORTED OUT BY SECURITY YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RE-ENTER. Please make smart choices and let this be a wonderful experience for everyone.
Yes, there will be alcohol available during the reception. This being said, we will not be providing or allowing any hard liquor (even if you buy it and bring it for yourself). We will be serving beer, cider, seltzer, spiked lemonade, and sweet white wine. Each guest of 21 years old will be allowed up to 4 alcoholic beverages that we provide free of cost to you. Drinking under 21 years old will not be tolerated and those who do not obey will be removed from the premises by hired security. This is also including anyone who is seen knowingly providing alcohol to someone under the age of 21. This all meaning- No, there is not an open bar; but alcohol on premises is free for you to consume.
Cannabis and cannabis products are not permitted on the premises for anyone. We understand that this is something many people enjoy partaking in rather than alcohol. Although, our venue does not allow it. If you would like to partake in a cannabis product please do so in your vehicle in the Yakima Humane Society parking lot that is connected to the venue parking lot. If cannabis is used on the venue premises it will violate the contract agreement signed by Gavin & Trinity- therefore the venue will charge Gavin and Trinity a $1,000 fee. You will also be escorted off the premises by hired security if you are caught violating this rule.
Hired licensed security is required by our venue. We are happy to comply with any and all rules given to us by the venue and the security company. This meaning they have the right to remove and escort whoever they feel necessary whenever necessary.
Yes! There are designated smoking areas at the venue. Smoking is ok in the parking lot as long as you are father than 25 feet from a building and not smoking near anything flammable. We only require that you clean up after yourself and DO NOT LITTER.
The ceremony and reception will be at the same address location. That being said the ceremony will be held in a different area of the location than the reception. There will be plenty of clear direction on how to get to each place location on the day of.
The venue is called Yakima Area Arboretum and the address is: 1401 Arboretum Dr, Yakima, WA 98901. 1.)Take exit 34 off of Interstate 82. 2.)Turn east onto Nob Hill Boulevard. 3.)At the first stoplight (S. 24th Street) turn left. 4.)Turn immediately left onto Arboretum Drive. 5.)Follow the road as it curves around. The Arboretum’s Jewett Interpretive Center will be the first building on your right.
There is FREE parking for 80 vehicles available at the venue.
It should be stated on your invite; but if you might have lost it- you can also find out if you are allowed a plus one by going to the RSVP section and searching your name. Once you have searched you can see your whole “party” meaning those attached to your invite. If your RSVP section says “your name’s Guest” you are allowed ONE additional person to come with you besides yourself. If more than one attends they will kindly not be allowed in.
Yes, children are allowed IF they are named on your invitation or RSVP party list. With this in mind we ask that if a child is disruptive please remove them until they are composed. We want this to be a pleasant experience for everyone.
We ask that your attire be at least business casual and appropriate. Please respect the traditional rule of not wearing white. If you attend in less than asked or wear white you will be asked to change. The only exception to this is Trinity’s #1 : her Papa, Darrin.
Please RSVP ASAP. This can be done through the RSVP tab to the far right at the top of this page. If you aren't sure about some guests in your party, please RSVP no later than April 1, 2025. If you have a +1 and are not sure if they will be attending you can always add them as attending and let us know before hand if there has been any changes.
Please let us know if you have an allergy so that we can make accommodations for those who need it. All food will be handled and prepared with care and detail to keep dishes and possible allergens from coming in contact and contaminating each other.
May in Yakima, Washington is historically warm and dry. The temperature is commonly between 70-80 during the day and 65-70 during the morning and early evening.
If you do not have a special role or a part in the wedding party please do not arrive more than 40 minutes before the ceremony start time. The ceremony start time is set for 5:00 PM, so please do not arrive earlier than 4:20PM.
Of course! There will be food served a few times throughout the wedding. There will be something to snack on between ceremony and reception. Dinner and dessert will be served during the reception. Following later in the night another snack/food will be served to keep everyone fueled and full!
Yes, there will be a ceremony rehearsal in the afternoon the day before the wedding on 5/23 @ 3:30 PM followed by a dinner at a different location. The only people allowed to attend the rehearsal are those in the wedding party and those who will be in the procession. The only exceptions are if those previously mentioned have children under 16 and/ or a spouse those additional people may attend with you. If you are unsure if this includes you please reach out and we will gladly let you know.
