Welcome to Our Wedding

We met when Trinity transferred schools our sophomore year of high school. We like to think that we both had our eyes on each other for a while before we started dating. It all started when we hugged after school one day and then came to the conclusion that we were basically dating anyway might as well make it official! So then he asked, and she responded with debate able... so us. We broke up a couple of times in high school, but once she headed off to college the true life love story came back around and here we are. He never really asked her out and that was a running joke for the last 3 years... (this is important for the proposal story). We have lived together now on our own for the last 2 years. One of them in Kilgore and the second one in Hyannis.

We were up in Lead South Dakota, for Brye's Birthday. We had rented out a beautiful cabin in the hills that I love. On his birthday we had gone golfing, which he loves and then we headed back to the cabin for some supper before going to Deadwood. I was getting ready to make some supper, so I was making sure that everyone was awake. I came up from the basement and the guys were going crazy telling me that Brye was outside puking and that I needed to go see what was wrong. So I headed out the door, barefoot, being told to put some shoes on as I walked through the door. But the only thing that was going through my mind was that if the guys were telling me that he was puking then something must have really been wrong... so I continued out the door. It was snowing, but I didn't really care, I just wanted to make sure that he was okay! I come around the corner of the garage and there he is hunched over so I am rubbing his back asking him what happened because he seemed fine just a second ago. He gets up turns around hugs me and then we say our I love you's. He gets down on one knee... and in our fashion I say "No F-ing Way" then start bawling. He sits there for a minute and then says "So, what do you say?" I responded with " Yes, but you didn't even ask me anything". (see where the two stories connections are?) He then asked me and of course I said "Yes". We put the ring on the wrong hand! Then there was cheering and hooting and hollering by the guys that were out there with us. All while we are standing there hugging.
