It all began in early June of 2021. We crossed paths by chance—I was at work, and she was just passing through—and something unspoken sparked between us. What started as a brief encounter quickly turned into butterflies… then love. Our first date was at Paesanos, where we were far more interested in each other than the food. We talked, we stared, we laughed—and from that night on, we couldn’t stop seeing one another. One date turned into many. Then came family introductions, inside jokes, long conversations, and building a life together day by day. On October 28th 2021, we officially became a couple, promising to think only of each other. What followed were the kinds of moments you usually only see in movies—except they were real, and they were ours. Fast forward to June 24th, 2024. It was a full moon in Key West, and I had planned a weekend getaway under the guise of celebrating her birthday. We explored the island together, collecting memories, new favorite foods, quirky keepsakes, and laughs we’ll never forget. That evening, we danced and sang to a live band that unexpectedly appeared during dinner. The night was already perfect… but the best part was still to come. I had to drag her home just in time to get to the spot before the moon rose too high. We walked to a secluded pier where, suddenly, music began to play. As the moonlight shimmered on the water, I gently turned her toward me—she looked confused, until she saw me down on one knee, holding a ring and a single flower. "Really?" she asked over and over in disbelief—until I slipped the ring on her finger. It was a perfect fit. She was still in the same shoes she’d accidentally dropped a chili cheese hotdog on earlier (a very romantic touch), but none of that mattered. I stood, lifted her off her feet, and spun her around, holding her close—just like I’ve done ever since. And now, we’re so excited to share the next chapter of our story with you.
