Rewinding back to late November 2020: As the world was at a standstill, Maryland shut down. Amidst the uncertainty and solitude, diving into the local dating pool seemed like a brilliant idea (yes, we’re being sarcastic). Little did we know, this leap of faith would lead us to each other, turning a global pause into the start of our forever. Enter: Facebook Dating, France Jamaica & Colin Mitchell Colin was the first to show interest, and Francine responded a few days later. After a few days of witty banter via Facebook and eventually text exchange, Francine boldly initiated a FaceTime call with Colin. We spent about a month facetiming and texting before we finally met on January 2nd and as they say - the rest is history. Dating in a pandemic presented its unique challenges, but it also offered an unparalleled opportunity to learn about each other on a deep, intimate, and authentic level. From romantic dinners, date nights at home, weekend getaways, and trips to Jamaica and Mexico, we have shared many wonderful memories together and moments we’d rather forget (but let’s save those stories for another time) which are staples of our story together. As we look forward to our future, we are excited to create more memories, overcome challenges together, and continue to write our story. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
