Long story short, this may sound like a familiar story where the guy slides into the DM's, but it's not. Trino & Joseline have known of each for a few years before dating. Yet neither caught interest in each other throughout those years. They were, however, friendly acquaintances who invited each other to youth events happening in their individual churches and gave each other awkward hugs at larger church events. It was like this for years until one day, Trino invited Joseline to go to a Friday night bible study located less than five minutes from her home. What no one but her closest friends knew, at the time, was that she was looking for a new church community to be more involved in. She prayed for God to provide her with a community that would build up her spiritual life and find fellowship with others who were genuinely seeking God as well. So, she thought to take a chance on this bible study and go. As she walked into Pr. Kenneth's home, the first person to notice her present saw her straight ahead with a sweet beaming kind, yet nervous smile staring at her as she took off her shoes to walk inside. She didn't want to assume anything and get ahead of herself. So, she ignored that strange new vibe she caught that told her that, this time, the original invitation was possibly more intentional that she originally thought. Joseline tried not to think much of that first encounter after years of not seeing each other, but a few more DM's started coming in. Some that were more friendly that would tell her she looked "beautiful" after service on Saturdays. She even got proposals to "go on a hike or for coffee one of these days". Quickly, she decided she would not focus her attention on that, but instead, put more interest on belonging to a new young adult church community. After a few months, Joseline began to be more involved and attended multiple events and meetings. Sometimes, two or three times a week. This lead to many opportunities for new friendships and to learn more about this man she hadn't given the opportunity to grow close with. It was at those bible studies and events where she began to see who Trino effortless was to his friends, as a church leader, his heart of service, and his innate Shepherd qualities for God's kingdom. She began to realize what a blessing she had quickly dismissed months before. She prayed about what the future may hold with Trino and put it in God's hands. In the mean time, she decided to begin to give him the opportunity to a friend and see if either one of their interests peaked for each other. What she didn't know was that Trino had been praying for her for almost a year before they met again. On her b-day, Trino & Joseline went on a hike with a mutual friend. The plan was to carpool and have brunch after. However, their mutual friend had a change of plans so, it was Trino & Joseline for the first time alone. Trino sneakily prepared a sweet gift for her to gift to her privately before her birthday dinner. It was a perfume she had been wanting for a long time. He had overheard at one of the bible studies that she really enjoyed the smell of that perfume. It was sweet and brought pressure as the ball was in her court. A few days later, Joseline saw Trino post a story about him studying. Replied and gave him the opportunity to begin a conversation for the first time outside of church. After that, Trino and Joseline began talking for a few hours until he suddenly stopped. The bubbles were appearing and disappearing. More than once! Until finally, a message, "will you go on a date with me?". She read that message and knew of all the guys in the world, she would enjoy sharing her first date with this man who loves God. So she said yes. The rest has been history. They have grow together so much and have brought each other closer to Christ. They pray to continue keeping God as the center of their relationship and marriage as He has been the one to bring them together from the beginning.
