How We Met

Play Date to Soulmate

Over ten years ago two little girls became friends. Those two little girls just so happened to be our eldest daughters. Two short, fierce and fiery, farting machines. Of course, they wanted to have sleepovers and play dates, and go to little events together, but we all know you can't go anywhere until Mom meets the parents. And that's how we met. It was nothing special, "Hello, my name is Trina, I'm Courtney's Mom." "Hi, I'm Mark. I'm Autumn's Dad." One was married, one was dating, and honestly neither of us really thought anything of the other. One divorce, a couple years, and two meddling kids later we finally opened our eyes to what was right in front of us.

The Proposal

Every Girl Wants Mimosas and Diamonds in the Morning

From the start there was never meant to be a wedding. Trina was very adamant that she did not want a second wedding, she didn't want to pay for another wedding, she didn't want to be a woman with multiple marriages. Mark agreed. Paying for a wedding is not fun, and he didn't want to be a man with multiple marriages under his belt... but let me tell you how he fell head over heels for this woman came to realize it didn't matter. He was IN LOVE with her. He wanted to give her his heart, his soul, and his name. After several attempts of bringing the idea up to Trina and her going "absolutely not", Mark remembered how bullheaded she is and realized he didn't need to ask her. He needed to ask the kids. So, after some advice from Trina's son and daughter, as well as advice from his two daughters, he went on a quest for a ring. The problem is after he found the ring he couldn't wait. He had all these ideas flowing, but at the same time he just wanted to ask, he wanted to show her, he wanted to start their adventure. Once again, he gathers all the kids in a group text, but this time for a time and location. February 23rd, Another Broken Egg Cafe, 12:30pm. With their little family, and the company of Trina's parents and nephew, Mark Stone poured his heart out to the woman he loves, and asked Trina Casto to marry him.
