we met at a 4th of July party wade was throwing at his house! trina was living in minot, ND and was getting away for the weekend visiting her cousin who was to soon marry one of wade's best friends. it took wade awhile to come over and talk to trina, but once he did we hit it off and had a great night!

after a month of texting and talking over the phone, we decided to meet in fargo and trina would spend another summer weekend in MN with wade. while driving to Alexandria, wade officially asked trina if she would date him (wade was so nervous he thought he was going to puke). he got the response...."i'll think about it", soon followed by a giggle and "yea, of course i will" we spent the next year in a long distance relationship, driving 6 hours to see each other any chance we could!

trina graduates college at MSU and moves to MN! we move in together right away, and trina starts to make wade's house their home. she loves to paint and remodel & paint and remodel...... (she's still painting and remodeling, haha!) our first year living together was not so easy having to adjust our routines and habits to accommodate the other person, but our love held on strong and we made it! (thanks to family and friends for their support)

5 years of dating, and everything's going great! wade enjoys his job at Douglas Scientific and was promoted to managing the service team, which means he doesn't have to travel as much anymore! trina loves her job at Carlos Creek Winery managing the tasting room, and loves their wine too! wade took trina up to Inspiration Peak after work for a hike. (he had wanted to do this several weeks earlier but she was busy planning her sister's baby shower) Inspiration Peak is beautiful, and it being the highest point in MN you can see for miles. the leaves had already changed color and that particular day it started to snow big fluffy snowflakes. "look, there's a deer down there" wade said, so trina looked down in the trees. a couple minutes later wade got her attention and she turned around surprised to find him down on one knee with the most beautiful ring in the world. "we've had our ups and downs, but there's no one else i'd rather spend my life with than you, will you marry me" .... "are you serious? of course YES!" wade had everything planned out (he's often called "the plan guy" by his friends). with the help of trina's sisters and Gervais Jewlers, he designed trina's ring - it's one of a kind!! he asked trina's dad for his blessing, and had his family waiting at the restaurant to celebrate afterwards - everything was perfect!
