Jessie swears that she met Connor one night at her apartment with Jack Pez and John Taber, hot tubbing and face masks were involved. But apparently it's a classic YoungLife love story, Jessie and Connor met at club one Wednesday (of course Jessie was crying). Jessie had never attended a YL Club at CMU before, but a friend and former Delight Leader Lexy Carnesi - Waugh (now Tyler) was giving her first talk. They were close friends for over a year before they started dating a week after college weekend on October 25th, 2019.

Connor planned a fishing date out on the Mesa in Grand Junction, CO. to sayhe was nervous was an understatement, dispite his best efforts to argue this fact, he hiked in front of Jessie the entire time. He intented to bring Jessie up to Lost Lake to fish just them two and pop the question there, but they arrived and everyone had the same thought to hike to Lost lake that Saturday Morning. They hiked back down to a lower lake, where they had spotted fish earlier to try to catch a fish or two before lunch. There was no fish caught, but he did catch a fiancé. They enjoyed an irish coffee at Grand Mesa Lodge, and enjoyed the first snow durring a few pictures before they headed home to the Triest's home where he had organized an engagement celebration.
