FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes we would love for you to dress in your best Cocktail/Semi-Formal attire! For men, it typically means a suit or blazer with dress pants and a tie, while women can opt for knee-length, maxi or midi dresses, jumpsuits, or elegant separates. The key is to look polished and put-together without being overly formal! Please save white for the Bride and no jeans or hats.

Question

Is there a Hotel Room Block?

Answer

We have some rooms blocked off at several close hotels for our wedding guests to take advantage of but you are also welcome to stay at one of the other hotels or airbnb’s close by as well. If you would like to extend your stay or add days in addition to your hotel block you will have to do a separate transaction and choose the same room type to keep your same room for the whole trip. Please book your rooms as soon as possible they do book fast!

Question

Will there be provided transportation?

Answer

Yes! We will have Trolleys picking guests up on Montgomery St. by the hotel blocks around 1pm and will have Trolleys after the ceremony dropping guests off at the Reception stopping at 5:30pm. Savannah Bottleworks is located next to the 3 hotel blocks so feel free to stop by your room if needed before the cocktail hour starts at 5pm. You can also use Uber/Lyft to the ceremony from your airbnbs or other hotels if necessary. The Trolleys are handicap accessible.

Question

What should I expect after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the immediate family and bridal party will be taking pictures with the Bride and Groom for around an hour. Guests will be able to trolley back to the hotel or the reception area where cocktail hour starts at 5pm.

Answer

Yes there will be an open bar. Cheers!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Expect daytime highs in the mid-80s°F and overnight lows in the upper 60s to low 70s°F. The air will be humid, giving the temperatures a hotter, muggier feel, especially in the afternoon. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are possible, but they are often brief. September is typically one of the drier months of the year, so all-day rain is unlikely.

Question

Are cellphones allowed?

Answer

This is an unplugged ceremony. Cellphones are not allowed to be used in the Cathedral. Feel free to use them before and after the ceremony.
