Welcome (Welcome back for some) to the Bay Area. Northern California is a gem, from towering Redwoods, rolling vineyards, and pristine beaches – to breathtaking coastlines and food! A list of local faves and day road trips below…enjoy!
Wente Vineyards

, (925) 456-2481

Wente is adjacent to the reception venue. Wine tasting for non members is $30-40/person. Head over to Steven Kent’s wines next door in The Barrel Room. Drive a short distance to Darcie Kent and view their art collection while sipping on some of the best wines in the valley. TIP: For a fun adventure, rent Segways through the Livermore Tour Company to ride through wine country.

Hog Island Oyster Co.

Hog Island Oyster Co.

Ferry Building, #11, San Francisco, CA 94111

Downtown Walnut Creek

Downtown Walnut Creek

Walnut Creek, CA 94596

Downtown Walnut Creek is where we spend most of our time! Some of our most frequented restaurants are: Dragon’s Pond (1353 Locust Street) Chinese food, accommodates most dietary restrictions. Ask for our favorite server Mary, the owner is Lily! Lita (1602 Bonanza Street) yummy Latin/Caribbean tapas with a trendy & fun vibe. Tough to get reservations, walk-ins are best. The bar is great, their drinks are really impressive. Va De Vi (1511 Mt. Diablo Blvd.) #iykyk - Tricia’s favorite wine bar, famously known for a good time! Delicious tapas and desserts! Philz Coffee (1103 S. California Blvd.) A Bay Area STAPLE! Founded by Phil Jaber in SF’s Mission District in 1978. Faves: Iced Rose and Iced or Hot Oatmeal Cookie (this is a top secret menu item).

Point Reyes National Seashore

Point Reyes National Seashore

A perfect day trip! Located in Marin County, an area of California that has a protected coastline. Home to the famous Cypress Tree Tunnel, and a hotspot for Oysters! Be sure to visit Tomales Bay Oyster Company as Marshall is nearby.

Mount Diablo State Park

Mount Diablo State Park

Summit Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94598
, (925) 837-2525

Mt. Diablo, known as Tuyshtak, or “dawn of time,” by the Ohlone peoples - is a legendary & iconic landmark. Watching the Sun rise or Set from here is magical!

Castello di Amorosa

Castello di Amorosa

4045 Saint Helena Highway, Calistoga, CA 94515
, (707) 967-6272

13th century Tuscan castle winery, an architectural masterpiece with all the elements of an authentic medieval castle. Step into the vision created by Dario Sattui, the great grandson of pioneering Bay Area vintner Vittorio Sattui. Everyone (kid friendly) will love visiting with the winery’s many animals in the outdoor “zoo” - from peacocks and emus to exotic chickens, pigs, sheep, and goats. Strollers are not allowed inside the Castello.

Oxbow Public Market

Oxbow Public Market

610 1st Street, Napa, CA 94559
, (707) 226-6529

You’ll find all kinds of delights from local Californian food & wine producers at this lively high-end market. Take a lap before committing to your lunch fare (you’ll find everything from oysters to burgers to empanadas) and then enjoy your meal on the spacious deck overlooking the Napa River.
