Question

What do I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We'd describe the vibe as cocktail casual. Look nice, but don't be uncomfortable. Dresses, jumpsuits, fancy pants, cool skirts are all welcome, but maybe avoid any black-tie ball gowns. If you're considering a full suit, maybe swap for a nice jacket? For anyone looking to wear heels, we recommend you don't as everything will be on either grass, gravel, or uneven cobblestones. Flats, platforms, comfortable wedges, and sneakers are encouraged. While the day will be hot, the night will likely cool down, prepare accordingly.

Question

What do I wear to the welcome party?

Answer

Cool, comfortable, and casual. There are no rules!

Question

How do I get to Casa Paço D'Ilhas for the wedding?

Answer

We will be having free shuttles running all afternoon and night from the village center of Ericeira outside of the Hotel Vila Galé. For those of you who prefer to drive, there is street parking, but please note there is no official or sectioned off parking lot.

Question

When should I plan to arrive in Ericeira?

Answer

Official wedding festivities will kick off on the night of June 7th with a welcome party. We will be planning to arrive in Ericeira a week or two in advance to hang out, wedding prep, and surf.

Question

How close is Lisbon and can I stay there instead of Ericeira?

Answer

Lisbon is about a 30-40 minute drive from Ericeira, depending on traffic. It's up to you if you'd like to stay there, but we would recommend Ericeira for convenience (and fun!)

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

Weather is unpredictable, but our best guess is that it will be hot and sunny during the day and cool down at night. We're hoping for summer-style weather.

Question

What's the best way to get to Ericeira?

Answer

Ericeira is about a 30-40 minute drive from Lisbon Airport, but from wherever you plan to come from, driving will be the best way. If you are renting a car, they will have the option to include an automated toll payment method, but if you choose not to go with this, the tolls here only accept cash and Portuguese bank/credit cards. Taxis, Ubers, and public buses are available from the airpot as well if you're not comfortable driving.
