Ohiopyle is a great way to immerse yourself in the area's scenery. There are many options to drive through the park, enjoy short walks to waterfalls or through paved pathways, and spend time hiking the trails. Restaurants and local shops can also be found near the park.
The area is proud to have this five star resort in their back yard. Nemacolin offers many activities including two golf courses, obstacle courses, driving courses, wildlife habitats, mini golf, shooting academy, fishing and more.
Tricia was introduced to the Nemacolin Shooting Academy during her freshmen year of college when she, her dad and sister spent a Father's Day adventure there together. This has become a fun spot for Father/Daughter time together and was introduced to Dan where he quickly showed up Tricia with his beginners luck. This is a great spot for a beginner or experienced shooter. Guests can choose from a full shooting course experience or just getting a taste of the experience with a five stand.
With Dan's love of history Fort Necessity was a date location early in the relationship. The visitor center offers a small museum and an out door replica of the battle field. Hiking is also near by, but don't forget to head down the road to Braddock's grave and an ice cream treat at Braddock's Inn Restaurant. If you also stop by the Christmas Shop you'll replicate the whole date!
The Stone House is one of our favorite places to eat. We LOVE the mac and cheese, steak salads and chicken parmigiana! Not looking for a meal, but want to stop by? Grab a drink or appetizer in the pub.
This is another favorite spot for a couple that loves to enjoy breakfast together. You can enjoy great food from a family run restaurant or snag some of their amazing baked goods and a coffee from the cafe side. The fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls cannot be beat!
West Overton offers tours, but guests can also roam the grounds on their own.
Visit our favorite spot to each in Mt. Pleasant thanks to our shared love of tacos. This is a local, family owned Mexican Restaurant which quickly because "our spot" and the owners have come to know us well. This is also where we celebrated with family the day after our engagement.
Danny and I love breakfast and this is a favorite spot just in town. If you're looking for a breakfast spot while you're in town, we highly recommend this local favorite!
