In August 2014, Martin moved to NYC after living in DC for 10 years. In October of that year, Martin met Tria on a dating app, not really expecting he would meet his future wife. They lived in different boroughs for the first 2 years, which was the most challenging part of their relationship. They later moved in together in a one-bedroom apartment in Queens. They loved their Jackson Heights neighborhood and their life there together. There were plenty things of things to do and endless places to eat. Martin and Tria spent several years in Queens, until 2020 forced them to re-evaluate their living situation due to the pandemic. Fast forward into November 2021, Tria and Martin moved to the city of Philadelphia seeking a much-needed change. There were lots of cheesesteaks during that first year! It was an exciting time for them, and it didn’t take long before they bought their first house in March 2023. They fostered new friendships in their community and local running group. The year ended with Martin proposing to Tria on Christmas day 2023, in front of her loving family. Martin and Tria will tie the knot on Sunday, September 15th of 2024 at the Moshulu in the Society Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia.
