Amy and Jonathan met as many did during the pandemic - on a dating app! It was February 2021. He was smart and put a dog in his first picture, so she was immediately interested. Within the first few exchanges she asked, "Where in LA do you live? If it's too far, honestly it's not worth it for either of us." Lucky for both of them, she's terrible with geography, even in her own home town, and didn't bother to search Long Beach to Hollywood in her maps, so she said, "Okay that's fine" and the conversations kept flowing. Since they both work from home, they were able to spend 4 days at a time together, alternating apartments each week (thanks Laurel, Bren, and Tad!). After just one year together, they knew this was forever and decided to buy their first home together in Long Beach, CA (probably sending their parents into cardiac arrest). Since then, they've traveled to Italy and Croatia, attended 22 concerts, 13 weddings and many Chargers games together, taken amazing trips to Paso, Tahoe, Vegas, Chicago, Mexico, Denver and more, survived a flooded kitchen that resulted in a full renovation that lasted almost a year, spent many nights laughing over good food and drinks with family and friends, and have loved building a life together with their favorite living being ever - their Australian Sheppard, Ace! Jonathan actually snuck one past Amy and truly surprised her when he proposed at their favorite winery in Paso on May 16th, 2025! The wind picked up like CRAZY during the entire proposal and they knew Pop was with them, cheering from above with a glass of vino. They can't wait to celebrate with all of their loved ones in one of their favorite places! Cheers to an epic weekend and an exciting new chapter together!
