November 7, 2014 was the day that Trey and TJ met in Reisterstown, Maryland. Their love story began here... The first date lasted 5 hours, where the conversation was engaging and the feelings were sparking. They spent that time talking about everything in life and nothing at all. Trey and TJ recalled feelings of butterflies, happiness and love as early as November 7. Trey with a fiery mouth and vibrant personality, and TJ with a witty intellect and eclectic worldwide view, they immediately connected. TJ felt that “Finding Trey was like finding a needle in a haystack”. Trey knew and felt in his bones, that TJ was no ordinary man, and this would be no ordinary kind of love... After endless conversations, Trey and TJ grew closer. Six months later, on a drive to TJ’s home, they decided to make it official. And nothing says more official than the first “ I love you”. This would be the first of many for a lifetime. In 2016, Trey decided to move back to California to care for his beautiful and brilliant nephew Jacob III (aka Moo Moo). With distance in their future and challenges on the horizon, these two committed to staying together. This would prove to be one of the most difficult decisions of their relationship. Despite of the stress, distance and being forced to love one another from a far, these two made it work! Through phone calls, regular visits, love, commitment and trust they made it. After a year and a half of living on opposite sides of the country, TJ made the move to California. Although he was leaving behind so much, safe and familiar comfort zones, but most importantly his two beautiful children Morgan and Rashad ... he was headed towards love and took a leap of faith. On the other end, he landed on his feet and they continued to fall deeper in love and start the same life in a new location... most importantly TOGETHER!!! Writing a new headline of their own ...
