Trey and Melissa met at the birthday party of her friend Jess. Trey had been a friend and colleague of Jess at the time and was invited to celebrate with her and friends at a karaoke bash extravaganza. All it took was a brief introduction and what was set in motion that night culminated into the marriage of Melissa and Trey. The night started with a chat over coffee and a few awkward karaoke songs, but ended with a phone number exchange and a kiss. With that number exchange Melissa and Trey would go on to set up tons of interstate dates in New Jersey and New York City, since Trey was living in Brooklyn. From the Vessel in Midtown to DUMBO in Brooklyn. From Longwood Gardens to Cape May. They loved seeing things new and old, but as long as they were together, they even enjoyed ringing in the New Year over a game of Scrabble occasionally. Since those days their relationship has strengthened so much that they realized nothing would be enough until they could do it together forever.
