Ours began the way many modern stories do—with a swipe! In 2022, a simple match on a dating app brought two people together who, as it turns out, had been unknowingly wandering toward each other for years. By the time we officially began dating in October of 2022, it already felt like something bigger had found us—something meant to be. From the start, the outdoors became our favorite place to fall in love. We’ve shared blisters from going on backpacking adventures, we laughed around late-night campfires, and sang through forests where we were scared of bears. It felt like the world had quieted just for us. There’s a kind of magic in those moments—when the only things that matter are the trees, the mountains, and the person beside you. Then, in December of 2024, during a moment wrapped in laughter, he knelt down and asked a question that made time stand still. With happy tears, a full heart, and absolutely no hesitation, the answer was yes.
