We both had just gotten out of serious relationships and I was on my way to start a new life in Virginia Beach. But first I needed new brakes before making the 600+ mile drive up and I decided this at the last minute. I go to O'Reilly to purchase everything I need. Our friend, Cameron Vance, was working and offered to change my brakes for me after work but it would be late. Trey was there just to aggravate Cameron and offered to fix my brakes for me. So I allowed him to. He asked that I test the brakes before I leave. Everything was fine but he said he still worried and wanted me to call him every hour on my drive the next day. So we exchanged numbers and I called him every hour with no answer. Good thing my brakes were fine! HAHA. Upon chatting every day and night for one week, he convinced me to come back home to TN and start something with him. I took the risk, moved all the way back home not knowing where I was going to live or if I was going to stay. We spent every day together before he asked me to be his girlfriend a month later.
We got home from work and Trey wanted to work on the current project in the garage, 1947 Chevy Sedan Delivery. He needed to move the motor so he could pick up the body of the car. He requested that I remove the intake from the motor and place it on the work table next to us. I lift the intake, hand it to him and turn back to the motor only to find the ring box opened in the motor. Immediate tears of disbelief that this is actually happening and I ask "What is this?" he replies "I want to marry you". I continue to burst out questions in denial! He was serious, he really wants to marry me!
