The first time I met Misty McCourt, I was hers. We were introduced by a mutual friend in 2005 during school. We were wearing the same bright green "Blood Brothers" shirt and we clicked immediately. She was the most beautiful person I had ever seen and she was into the same weird-o hipstery music as me. Over the next few years, we became really great friends. We would talk on AIM, trade CD's, and spend a lot of time cracking jokes. We dated various other people and couldn't seem to get our timing quite right. Around 2011, we were both single. We started spending a lot of time together and it wasn't long before we started officially dating on August 28th, 2011. Since that fateful day, we became inseparable. On May 13th, 2021, I proposed in our suite at the Ritz Carlton of Charlotte, North Carolina. I know, I know - I waited much too long to "put a ring on it". But frankly, I needed to do some growing before I could be considered husband material. Luckily, she said yes and we (eventually) set a date for November 19th, 2022.
