Rhiannon & Trevor

    Welcome
    Wedding Party

Wedding Party

Kyra Rydland

Maid of Honor

My friendship with Rhi began out of a last minute scramble to find roommates as we both got pulled off of Midwestern’s PA school waitlist a month before the program was to start. Little did I know, the Facebook roomie arrangement had just brought me my best friend. You either become inseparable or enemies after spending 14 hour study days quizzing each other, poking IV lines in each other’s arms, and Rhiannon reminding me for the 100th time what that one orthopedic exam was called. Thankfully for us, it was the latter. Rhi is the first person I go to with anything and I now can’t imagine my life without her. After getting the pleasure of watching Rhi and Trevor’s sweet partnership over the years, I am simply thrilled to be a part of their wedding and can’t wait to celebrate them!

Jordan Brown

Best Man

Trevor first made his presence known to me on July 14th, 1995 when he interrupted a two-square game with my mother to let us know that he was ready to enter the world. In this moment he may have deprived me of cursory joy, but over the ensuing 28 years has provided me with something far more enduring – a brother whom I love and admire. While I may have been skeptical of Trevor early on, my opinion of Rhiannon has never wavered.  I initially met Rhiannon during her first-year of college and it became clear to me, even before she and Trevor began dating, that this was someone important to my brother. Rhiannon is one of the most thoughtful, tenacious, and patient (especially when it comes to indulging fantasy basketball talk) people I have ever met. I am so grateful she is in my life. It has been a joy to see them grow together. I am incredibly humbled to play a role on their big day!

I had the pleasure of meeting Rhiannon through my husband (Jesse) who also went to Occidental College. When I first saw Rhiannon and Trevor together 6 years ago, I knew they would be forever. Rhiannon quickly became a close friend who I could bond with while Jesse and Trevor discussed their fantasy basketball teams. Rhiannon has cheered me on through my endeavors to become a PA (and I had the absolute pleasure of doing the same for her, and now Trevor too!) and she is my go-to house hunter for our future homes where we will be next-door neighbors in Vista ;) Rhiannon and Trevor are the most beautiful people with the biggest hearts - they were even willing to be the sole in-person witnesses for our Zoom pandemic wedding. I am so excited for the two of them and cannot wait for the big day! Congratulations to the happy couple <3

I met Rhi over six years ago at Oxy. I was introduced to her and Trevor by my partner, Nick, and have been so lucky to call them friends ever since. Over the years, Rhi and I have gotten to spend many weekends, holidays, and parties together. You can often find us dancing (her way, way better than me), bonding over our cat babies, and sharing life’s secrets over thai food/hard kombucha/cookies/really anything tasty. I am so happy for this beautiful couple and cannot wait for Rhi and Trev to get married!

I can't remember the very moment I met Rhi, but what I do know is that most of my early childhood memories include her. We were just wee tots - age 5 or so - and ever since then she has been the closest thing to a sister I have. From the playgrounds, to dance classes and recitals, and after-school hang out times, she was always there. We used to dress up as bride and groom and pretend to get married to each other (ask for pictures). You could say I've been looking forward to this moment for some time now. I remember meeting Trev when they were only best friends, and I had two thoughts about him: “I think he's the boy version of me”, and, “Why aren't they dating?” I knew Rhi and Trevor would make a great couple and, since I can't marry her, what better person than my male counter part. Congrats to my favorite couple.

When did Rhi and I become friends? Well apparently for most of the first year of PA school, we both wanted to be friends with each other but thought the other was much too cool to be our friend. Then one fateful pool party at the end of didactic year, Rhi and Kyra decided to stop studying long enough to attend a social event, and we finally got to talking. Then at brunch the next morning (I know, we got brunch the very next morning), Rhi invited me to a dinner party. By then I was like, “Wow the cool girl wants to be friends with me?!?” And from that time on, we’ve had so many adventures! My husband has also met his baseball match in Trevor, which is fantastic for keeping the boys busy when we are dancing the night away at The Hot Chick™️! I'm so excited for your adventures together now that you both live in the same city again!

I first met Trevor in Palm Desert when I accompanied my brother to a tennis tournament that Jordan and Trevor were in. Trevor was completely in his element. He was playing pickup basketball in a tent outside of the hotel we were staying at in between tennis matches. I had only heard about Trevor through Jordan and Taylor, and my first impressions were, “Man this kid is energetic.” I was just beginning my tennis career and our beloved coach, John Chanfreau, set up matches between Trevor and me. Trevor annihilated me time and time again, but he was always so helpful and took me under his racket, I mean wing. From that point on, we began a lifelong friendship that I cherish so much. Between the Padres, the occasional video game session, and what seems like thousands of practices where we maybe actually hit for 30 minutes, I could not draw up a better friend to spend these times with. I look forward to continued memories on the tennis, pickle ball, and basketball courts as well as a World Series Championship.

I met Trevor Brown on a crisp September morning on the playground of Ashley Falls Elementary. I knew instantly the joviality coming off the lad was exquisite. We were always friends throughout elementary school, but we became increasingly close during our sixth grade term as we both shared the same professor, Mary Ann Loes. Quirky as all get out, Mary Ann really gave us the freedom to learn in our own unique ways. During sixth grade, I had the daunting challenge of delivering milk to the kindergarteners. I was lucky enough to have Trevor be my lead assistant. A job that should have taken 10 minutes ended up taking hours as we lingered in the milk locker chatting. Our relationship only grew as we moved on to Carmel Valley Middle School. We began collecting sports cards at an alarming rate. Trevor and I ended up attending different high schools and different colleges, but that didn’t hinder our friendship, and the adventures were endless. One of our fondest memories was bumping into our boyhood idol Donald Young, or Donny for short, at Indian Wells. What a rush it was to see Donald in person and even get a picture with him. To be able to meet one of our icons in the flesh is nothing short of a blessing; experiencing it together makes it even more special. Trevor and I have had a great deal of experiences so far in our young lives, and a great deal more to come in our futures. It is a great honor to be one of his groomsmen.

During my first year of college at Occidental (here we go Tigers), I kept hearing about how great this high school senior kid named Trevor was. One crisp Spring 2013 night at Scholl Canyon Tennis Club I finally met him (and the rest of the wonderful Brown family) and saw immediately that all the hype was justified. Lucky for me, Trevor chose to attend Occidental the following year, and we have been playing tennis, watching basketball, listening to his legendary Spotify playlists, and eating Thai food and boba ever since. Trevor was also the photographer and sole witness when I proposed to my wife (Diana). Through Trevor and Occidental, I also got to know (and party with) the legendary Rhiannon. They both put up with me dancing on tables in their dorm rooms, and even baked delicious treats for my birthday. Trevor and Rhiannon are the kindest and most thoughtful people I know; I could not be happier to celebrate their love. They have the biggest Tiger hearts and are absolutely perfect together. Cheers to Trevor and Rhiannon!

I first met Trevor almost a decade ago when we were both in our first year at Occidental. We did get off to a bit of a rocky start, when a basketball game was cut short by Trev running belly-first into an outdoor grill. Though lesser men would have seen that as a bad omen, Trev didn't let it stop us from becoming thick as thieves. About a year later, I met Rhiannon for the first time. Since then, they've both become some of my closest friends. We've shared a lot of good times, highlighted by meeting tennis legend Donald Young, a trip to historic Lake Elsinore for the Storm's "LeBron night", and many competitive games at the Brown's bocce ball court. These two kids make a great pair and I'm elated that they found each other. Looking forward to a great wedding.
