Question

Welcome

Answer

Welcome to our official website! We are thrilled to invite you to our wedding weekend in Jamaica, with about two dozen of our closest friends. Please let us know if you have any questions. We hope you can make it!

Question

Airport

Answer

Please plan to fly into Sangster International Airport (MBJ), located in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Trevor and I have arranged transportation from the airport to the villa to ensure a smooth commute for each of us. It’s about a 30-minute ride up the mountain. Please plan to arrive on Friday, May 17, between noon - 4 pm. We must check out of the villa on Monday, May 20, at 11 am. We will accommodate your ride back to the airport, but please plan accordingly.

Question

Passport

Answer

You will need a Passport to travel to Jamaica. If you need to renew your Passport, you can renew by mail at the link below. It costs about $60 to expedite the process, to which you can expect to receive your updated Passport back in 3-5 weeks. Please, do not wait. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/renew.html

Question

Price

Answer

We are asking each individual to pay for their individual flight to and from Jamaica. We are also asking each guest to pay $750. This fee includes your stay for three nights, all food and drink, all staff fees, transportation, security, and other excursions and surprises. We encourage all guests to bring a little cash to help tip the staff.

Question

Wedding

Answer

We are planning to host a civil ceremony with our immediate family at the New York City Marriage Bureau in New York on Thursday, May 16. We plan to host an informal ceremony somewhere in the villa with you!

Question

Weather

Answer

In May, the temperatures range from 80 - 90 degrees fahrenheit. The rainy season will be upon us, so expect humidity and intermittent rain. Montego Bay has around 80mm of rain across the month – not nearly as much rain as the nearby city of Negril, which sees closer to 200mm of rain across the month.

Question

Inspo

Answer

The vibe is no parents, no rules. Give us color, lace, sequins, feathers, neon, bright, bold, and fun! Friday: Casual island attire We will welcome everyone to the villa and sit down for family dinner around 8 pm. Our chefs will prepare a traditional Jamaican dinner, with plenty of drinks and dessert. *We will have lunch and small bites for those of you who arrive earlier that day. Saturday: Formal island attire Trevor and I are staging a mini wedding in the morning or early afternoon at the villa. We encourage colorful short-sleeve button downs and sun dresses. That night, we will host our most formal family dinner with a curated menu and drink selection. If you are like Phoebe, you’ll have at least 10 changes of clothes between 10 am and 10 pm. Wear at your own risk! Sunday: Beach attire and casual island attire Trevor and I will plan a boat excursion off of Montego Bay. Please pack a swimsuit, swim cover up, and comfortable sandals or shoes. After the excursion, we will likely return back to the villa. Monday: Casual island attire We’ll have one last breakfast together, and then we will turn you loose! As a reminder, we will escort you to the Sangster International Airport (MBJ).
