Trevor and I both went to Coe College in Cedar Rapids. I remember seeing him in the weight room, at my games, and around campus. I finally asked my cousin that was also at Coe, "who is that boy?!" Luckily, she knew all too well because he was living in the same house and was good friends with her boyfriend (& now husband)! We finally talked in person on Flunk Day, it progressed from there, and now here we are!
Trevor and I went up to the Mississippi River for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. Trevor's brother and sister-in-law also came up, and we went for a hike at Pike's Peak Saturday morning. This was totally a normal activity for us, so I didn't suspect anything. We got close to an overlook and Trevor's brother, Drew, said "lets go take a selfie" and we did. Then he said "okay, now just you two!" In the midst of all of this, Trevor slipped on Ryder's dog collar with a tag that said "will you marry me?" He asked me to fix Ryder's dog collar for the picture and as I bent down to look, Trevor got down on one knee! I was very surprised and it was the perfect day. :)
