Where is the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The wedding and reception are at "The Woods", 4898 Hwy 3A/6 in Beasley, about 10-15 minutes from Nelson towards Castlegar. The venue is outdoors with a shaded cedar forest for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and tents set up for dinner. Directions: Coming from Nelson, head towards Castlegar. About 10-12 minutes out of town you will pass the Beasley Fire Hall. The venue is the second left after the Fire Hall (just after the deer sign). It will be marked with balloons. Coming from Castlegar area, pass Cora Lynn Rod and Beasley Rd. The venue is on your right just around a bend in the highway and just before the deer sign. Will be marked with balloons.

What time is the wedding and reception?

Answer

Guests are welcome to arrive around 2:30pm, ceremony will be at 3:00pm, cocktail hour with lawn games around 4pm, dinner around 6pm, Dance party around 9:00pm, musician jam at The Lodge around 12am

Parking and Transport

Answer

There will be parking available at the wedding venue but space is still limited. Please carpool if you can. There will be a shuttle service at the end of the night. Please RSVP for shuttle ahead of time if possible.

What are the dinner and snack options?

Answer

Dinner will be a buffet style meal, catered by The Hume Hotel. Wild Greens Salad Pearl Couscous salad Fingerling Potatoes Rosemary Chicken Entree Roasted Veggies Dessert Coffee, Tea The caterer will also have dinner plates prepared for our vegetarian and vegan guests. Cocktail hour will be charcuterie platters including some vegan cheese as well as other snacks like veggies, fruit and chips.

What's the dress code?

Answer

Attire will be semi-formal, ie not too casual, not too fancy and most importantly comfortable for you to be outside for a summer wedding into the evening. Be prepared to walk in grass, gravel and wood chips.

Answer

Your presence on our special day is the greatest gift of all. However, if you wish to honour us with a gift, we are saving up for a few special items like a king bed, a dining table, and our dream honeymoon. Contributions to help us achieve these goals would mean the world to us!

How can I help out?

Answer

Any helping hands will always be appreciated. If you are able and willing, we will be setting everything up all day Friday July 11 and will also be looking for help taking things down and cleaning up the day after, July 13. Get in touch if you think you can help out, thanks!

Yes, we will have an open bar with a variety of options. Don’t forget to tip the bartender 😉
