Yes, summer camp is a great place for kids! And if you are staying at Kingsley Pines Camp, kids 12 and under stay for free.
Kingsley Pines has more than enough lodging for all guests to stay on site and we'd love to have as many people stay at camp as possible. You'll tell us you want to stay on site and what your preferences are in the RSVP. Payment will be made directly to Kingsley Pines. There are also some nearby hotels and Airbnb is fairly prevalent in the area. This region of Maine is very popular in the summer and fall, so we encourage all guests to book as early as possible. Visit the Travel & Lodging page for more details.
Guests will have access to the industrial kitchen, including a large walk-in fridge, sink, oven, and large outdoor grills, but NO access to stove top burners. There is a large camp cafeteria and plenty of outdoor picnic tables where we hope everyone will gather for meals.
Yes! Camp is for all wedding guests to enjoy, the more the merrier! We plan to have all kinds of fun activities and plenty of lounging by the lake (which has an epic rope swing), so please come hang out with us from Thursday evening through Sunday morning.
Whether you are staying at Kingsley Pines or not, guests are welcome to arrive any time after 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 17th. Everyone must check in at the main office upon initial arrival to sign a waiver. Once you've signed the waiver, you can come and go as you please.
Throughout the weekend (Thu-Sun) EXCEPT for the wedding event itself, beverages will be BYOB style for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Alcohol is allowed at camp so feel free to enjoy your mini-vacation :) During the official wedding event on Saturday, from the ceremony until the bartenders leave for the night, alcohol must be served by a licensed bartender. Once they leave and the official event is over, you can feel free to serve yourselves again. We plan to party all night!
Stay tuned! We're still figuring out details but hope to provide at least some options at camp for guests throughout the weekend. Kingsley Pines is also located near a couple of cute towns with dining options.
Summers and falls in Maine are beautiful! The average high in September during the day is 71, with lows in the mid 50's. Bring some warmer clothing for the early mornings and later evening/night. If you are staying at camp, an extra blanket would be a good idea too.
