Trevor gave me his number on a Monday, I purposely waited until Wednesday night to reach out, knowing very well I was leaving for Charleston Thursday morning. He asked if I wanted to be spontaneous and go grab a drink; I liked the spontaneity, but loved my pajamas even more. I asked if he'd be open to a drink over facetime (I've never tried before) and he called me out citing ambiance interference. He agreed to drive back into Boston and I could pick the place- I picked MJ O'connor's since you could see it from my window. I should've known the man who could get me out of the house after already being in everyone's favorite target pajamas would be the one!

Our story began (kind of) back in March of 2022, when we first matched on a dating app. I sent a long, convoluted message (classic me), and… she never responded. Fair enough. Then in May, fate gave us a second chance, and we matched again on a different app. This time, I kept it simple and asked, “Where’s your next travel adventure?” She replied, “Charleston, South Carolina,” and said she was flying out that Thursday. I played it cool and sent over my number on Monday. A few days later, after a night of playing basketball in Cambridge, I finally got a text from her. We started texting back and forth pretty quickly, and I decided to shoot my shot. I asked if she wanted to grab a drink that night. She replied, “What about we FaceTime with a drink?” I said, “That’s lame, let's actually go somewhere.” So I offered to drive wherever she was, and to my surprise, she said yes. I think a part of her appreciated the spontaneity. At 10:30pm on June 1st, 2022, we met at MJ O’Connor’s in Boston. And just like that, our love story officially began.
