FAQs

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We have indicated "semi-formal" on the RSVP page, but I REALLY don't want anyone to feel like they need to go buy anything. You are already traveling to attend; the last thing I want is for you to stress about what to wear. If you like to dress up, please please do! I just want everyone to be comfortable.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Cold. I expect it to be cold and snowy. It's not as cold as some of you brave souls from the Midwest, but it's cold. You're going to Idaho in the dead of winter; bring coats, gloves, and hats.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place? Are they indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Arling Center consists of three buildings connected by a small courtyard: the Chapel, the Schoolhouse, and the Grange. The ceremony is taking place indoors at the Chapel. When that concludes, we will walk ~50 feet across the courtyard to the Grange, where the reception will take place. All festivities are indoors! The Arling Center has parking, and is right across a small parking lot from the Lodge, making it an especially convenient lodging option!

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bride and groom will take photos for a short period of time (most of the pictures will be taken before the ceremony to avoid a long wait!) During this time, guests can convene in the lobby of the reception hall and enjoy a beverage. When photos are done, we will all enter the reception space together!

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

If your goals for the weekend are to spend some time enjoying the ski resort, you can arrive anytime! Trevor and Emily and their families are arriving on Thursday to get settled and get ready. If you are coming up for the day on Saturday, that's great! Just know that the ceremony is slated to start at 4:30 pm - don't be late! :)

Question

Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

The Lodge is a great option for onsite lodging! We have a discount code - FEB22 - for some lodging options at the resort, including cabins and cottages. Hotel style rooms at the lodge are also available, but are not included in our room block and thus do not receive a discounted rate. We recommend calling the front desk at 208-325-1000 to make the actual reservation. Donnelly and McCall are also chock full of vacation rentals if you would prefer to stay elsewhere. I would recommend checking out airbnb.com or vrbo.com for these offerings.

Question

What are we eating?

Answer

The question you've all been waiting for! Dinner will be served at the reception, and Trevor and Emily are going to Tamarack on December 8 to pick out what we are going to have! We also plan to have some type of hors d'oeuvres available during the short waiting time between the ceremony and reception. YEP, vegan/vegetarian options will be served, because we love you all! If there are any other dietary concerns that I don't know about, please let Emily or Trevor know.

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Our registry is right here on Zola! There is a link to it from our wedding website (which you are already on).

Question

Do you have a hashtag?

Answer

Of course we do! In fact, we have a couple. Use whichever one speaks to you! #summersinthewinter #trevieforevie #senditsummers You are totally encouraged to take and post photos during the weekend. Please, please, PLEASE, have fun!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP here, on the RSVP page so we know you are coming and we can have enough food for you! For planning purposes, please RSVP by January 22, one month before the event.
