Trevor and Emily both lived in the same apartment complex for nearly two years without ever meeting. Emily occasionally spotted Trevor walking his husky (Tundra) and labeled him in her brain as “the hot husky guy.” (important detail.) Near the end of Emily’s lease, she was dog-sitting and out for a morning walk when she rounded a corner and ran into Trevor and Tundra. Her first thought: "Okay, play it cool. Be chill." So they exchanged hello's and went their separate ways. After that? Emily walked that dog constantly – purely coincidentally, of course. The next meeting finally happened at the dog park, where they talked for nearly an hour. Emily learned Trevor’s job, his car make & model and his general dog walk schedule. She may or may not have started timing her walks accordingly. From her 4th floor balcony, she would SOMETIMES look down at the dog park, just in case. After several more totally-natural, not-at-all strategic encounters, Trevor finally (adorably and awkwardly) asked if Emily wanted to grab drinks. Their first date was at Palo Santo in Atlanta, followed by drinks at Drawbar. Perfect timing, too. Both were about to move out of their apartment, proving that if they’d waited any longer, this story might not exist. They’ve been together since July 2, 2023, and in that time have packed in plenty of adventure: Christmas in NYC, destination weddings in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, countless beach and lake trips, and eventually an engagement in Portugal on January 4, 2026. Trevor brings the structure and calm. Emily brings the creativity, dreams, and a remarkable ability to misplace things. They both love to laugh, but admit that neither of them are “witty” funny – just accidentally funny. And of course, none of this would’ve happened without Tundra – the very good boy who started it all.
