Trevor and I met online, like most people do nowadays, and we instantly clicked. We started planning a time to meet up after a week of daily talks, eventually deciding to meet at an award-winning vegan restaurant. It was such a thrill to meet each other in person for the first time. We spoke for hours about everything under the sun. We genuinely had so much in common that we knew it would work. It was a wonderful beginning and now, three and a half years later we're getting married and starting a new chapter of life together.

Trevor definitely caught me by surprise that day. I'd had a busy workday, was tired and wanted to be outside. It was a beautiful Friday afternoon and we had gotten into the habit of taking walks during that time. We originally were going to go walking at an arboretum near us, but we couldn't find any parking (I later found out that was where he planned to propose!) We ended up going to another trail in Salem that we liked. I noticed that Trevor was acting fidgety as we went over a wooden bridge that crossed a stream in the woods. When we reached the middle of the bridge Trevor stopped me, knelt down on one knee and popped the question! I had no idea it was coming and really appreciated all he did to keep it a secret. I, of course, said yes!
